What does the registration fee include?
The full registration fee entitles each delegate to the following:
- All sessions
- Delegate satchel
- All official documentation including program booklet, proceedings/abstract book and list of participants
- The Welcome Reception (Thursday night)
- Conference catering: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
- Conference Dinner (Friday night)
What's not included? – Additional items on the registration form
Please note if you wish to include a partner or guest in any of the social functions, an additional fee will be charged:
- Welcome Reception – Partners and guests may purchase tickets to the Welcome Reception ($80 each).
- Conference Dinner – Additional tickets to the Conference Dinner ($130 each).
Single day registrations do not include Welcome Reception or Conference Dinner.
Pre conference workshops attract an additional fee but we welcome Volunteers who are registered with a service at no cost. If you are a Volunteer, please place a number '1' in the box next the workshop you would like to attend that includes the words 'no cost for volunteers'. The only exception is the medications workshop which we cannot make available to Volunteers.
We are very pleased to announce that thanks to the support of the NSW Ministry of Health, Palliative Care NSW is able to offer 50 scholarships to regional and rural based nurses and allied health staff to cover one day of their conference registration.
To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants need to register by 15 June 2018 and be a nurse or an allied health employee of one of the following LHDs: Far West, Hunter New England, Mid North Coast, Murrumbidgee, Northern NSW, Southern NSW and Western NSW.
We can only offer these scholarships on a first come – first served basis. Priority will be given to NSW Health staff who are self-funding their own attendance in recognition that some delegates will be able to receive support from their Local Health District (LHDs).
If you would like to be considered for a scholarship – please complete the registration form and one of us at Palliative Care NSW will be in touch with you. You must include your work email when you complete the form.

Your completed registration and successful payment will be automatically acknowledged via email with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will only be confirmed on full payment of fees due.

All payments by cheque incur a A$10.00 processing fee and will only be accepted up until 8 October 2018. If you would like to pay by cheque please contact us before completing the form on (02) 9206 2094 or by email.
After 13 October 2018 all registrations must be submitted online with credit card details.
Each member of the conference will receive a name badge upon registration on site at the Conference. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times during the Conference to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Conference Manager expects appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserves the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Cancellations and timelines
Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Manager.
Registration cancellation fees
Before 13 September 2018 there will be an A$100.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations before 13 October 2018 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid. Cancellations on or after 13 October 2018 will receive no refund. All cancellations will be net of the Eventbrite processing fee.
Please make your own arrangements for accommodation directly with the providers. Kiama offers many options from b and b’s to beach-side cabins to the five star Sebel. We have arranged special pricing with the cabins and with the Sebel so please just mention that you are attending the conference to receive their best price. We are delighted to announce an exciting program of social activities to highlight the beautiful environment of Kiama. You can register for Tai Chi on the beach if you’re an early riser – our local Tai Chi expert is generously donating her time to make sure you start your busy conference day calm and centred.
Our intrepid local conference organising committee guru Kay Cope will be up at dawn on Sunday to take you on a guided morning walk around the headlands and bluffs – whales spotting is definitely on the agenda!
Cheese and Wine event
The winner of the art competition will be presented with their prize at the post-conference cheese and wine event. This is an optional event to wind down after the conference and we will be at the Sebel where you can buy your own drinks – and we’ll provide some delicious local cheesy comestibles!
Recordings / Copyright
The Conference Managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Conference for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Conference and/or its content at their sole discretion.
Details as given in the registration form (and any subsequent amendment) will be included in the Delegate List produced for the Conference which will be supplied to organising bodies, Sponsors, Exhibitors and all participants attending the Conference

The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice.
